Chapter Welcome

A Boise CoC is born

Our congregation – comprised of artists, crafters, musicians, geeks, businesspeople, moms, dads and makers of all varieties – has one common belief: that creating something with your hands is one of the most satisfying and meaningful things that we can do in this world.  We come together in a supportive and fun environment to inspire each other, learn from each other, entertain each other and create a more vibrant maker-culture in Boise.  We provide a safe, non judgmental, secular atmosphere in which the term “craft” can apply to just about anything.  Our meetings are rooted in ideals about sustainability and community and are fueled by creativity.   Our house of worship, the Visual Arts Collective provides us with a wonderful environment in which to hold our events and share the love.

Sticky: Welcome to the Los Angeles Church of Craft.

Welcome friends in craft. Reverend Brenda here to tell you the basics of our lovely group.

We meet at the Eagle Rock branch of The Coffee Table on Sundays (of course). We attract all sorts of crafters: knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, paper crafters, sewers, artists of all stripes.

We try to meet every month, but sometimes it’s more like a month and a half. The best way to keep in the know about where and when we’re meeting is to join our Yahoo Group. Ask to join, fill out a simple survey, and you’re in. I’ll also do my best to post meeting details here.

Here are a couple of pictures to show you how much fun we have. More to come!

We are so glad you are here!

Currently we have two wonderful ladies hosting our meetings – Lesley hosts meetings in the East Bay and Willo keeps it real in San Francisco. Tristy (co-founder of the Church of Craft and original host for the Bay Area church) is taking a break but is known to pop up at either meeting when she has the time.

Welcome & we hope to craft it up with you in the Bay Area soon!

Sticky: Kansas City C of C

A big hello to all Kansas City crafters out there from your Chuch of Craft reverend, Elizabeth.  The Kansas City Church of Craft meetings are usually held the first Saturday of every month, and are open to Crafters of all ages, from both sides of the Kansas City state lines.
