First Spring LA Church of Craft Meeting May 4th

Dear Friends in Craft:

Whoa! It’s spring. And we haven’t met in a long time. Sorry about that! But if you’re up for it, let’s plan to meet on Sunday, May 4th. If the weather’s nice (which I suspect it might be), we may head out to the outdoor patio, so look for us there if you don’t see us inside.

Come on down (or up, depending on where you live).

Grab your knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery thread, yarn, paper, pens, pencils, anything you need to make something cool and join us Sunday, May 4th for the next Church of Craft meeting.

Meeting details:

Where: The Coffee Table in Eagle Rock
1958 Colorado Boulevard

When: Sunday, May 4th, 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm or so

You can park on the street or in a lot across the way for free.
For those of you taking public transportation, many bus lines
and the DASH serve this street. Check out the trip planner on
MTA.net to plan out your specific route.

Email me with any questions or comments at: bmiller_54@hotmail.com

Also, if you have any suggestions for future meetings or things you’d like to do, let me know.

Peace Through Craft,
Brenda

First LA Church of Craft Meeting of 2013, January 27th, Plus Supply Swap

Dear Friends in Craft:

Happy New Year! I feel a renewed interest in all things crafty for 2013. Won’t you join us on Sunday, January 27th for the first meeting of the year? If the weather’s nice, we may head out to the outdoor patio, so look for us there if you don’t see us inside.

As we’ve done in the past, we’ll also do our crafty supply swap that day. We all end up with things we no longer need, can’t use, or need to get rid of (to make room for more supplies, right?) especially after the holidays. Bring some supplies you’re ready to swap. Remember–one person’s cast-offs are another person’s starting point toward something cool. Swappy ideas include: yarn, fabric, craft books, buttons, paper, patterns, sewing/knitting/crochet supplies, etc. Keep in mind, though, that space is limited. Now is not the time to completely clean out your storage space!

Come on down (or up, depending on where you live).

Grab your knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery thread, yarn, paper, pens, pencils, anything you need to make something cool and join us Sunday, January 27th for the next Church of Craft meeting.

Next LA Church of Craft Meeting November 18th

Dear Friends in Craft:

Do you have time for crafting before Thanksgiving? I hope so, because we’ll be meeting this Sunday. I have to figure out what to make for holiday gifts, and I’ll have pictures of the award-winning (no, seriously, it won an award at a little Halloween party–granted, they gave out A LOT of awards, but still) lion costume as well. At this meeting, we can discuss our annual crafting supply swap, too.

Come on down (or up, depending on where you live).

Grab your knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery thread, yarn, paper, pens, pencils, anything you need to make something cool and join us Sunday, November 18th (yes, this Sunday) for the next Church of Craft meeting. If the weather’s nice, we may head out to the outdoor patio as we did last time, so look for us there if you don’t see us inside.
