Keep calm and craft on – In Oakland

Please join us for Church of Craft on the third Sunday of every month in Oakland. Drop in and craft a while! Finish your holiday handmades or cards, hang out and work on projects, or help us develop group projects in process.
DATE AND TIME: Sunday, Dec 18, 2011, 12-5 pm
COST: Church of Craft is free. (Donations of any size to our host, RPSC, are appreciated.)
WHAT TO BRING TO CHURCH OF CRAFT:
* your new or continuing craft projects to work on alongside your fellow crafters
* crafting materials and projects to share or swap
* finished projects or other cool crafty stuff to show the group
* snacks for potluck

*We hatched The WORDS Project during the September CofC – come learn and create this conceptual and interdisciplinary project that celebrates words. We’ll talk about it on Dec 18.
*Making clothes and hats for immigrant kids from Burma, and other countries, arriving in East Oakland with no warm clothes, at the invitation of the social service organization serving them.  www.lfcd.org
* Donating a collection of crafty items to a local pre-school classroom

Craft on, learn to knit in Oakland, Sun Mar 20

Please join us for Oakland Church of Craft on the third Sunday of every month. This month we have Sunday School! from 1-2pm; stay dry and cozy while we learn to knit and/or work on our individual craft projects.
DATE AND TIME: Sunday, March 20, 2011, 12-5 pm
SUNDAY SCHOOL, from 1-2pm.  ~ Learn to Knit! ~
~ Bring needles and light-colored yarn appropriate for a scarf, or use our materials onsite to learn to knit.

Crafting in Oakland Sun Feb 20, make a felted coffee cozy

Please join us for Oakland Church of Craft on the third Sunday of every month. This month we have Sunday School! from 1-2pm; get dry and cozy while we make coffee/beer cozies.

SUNDAY SCHOOL, from 1-2pm.
~~ Felted Coffee Cozy – Cut, piece and decorate recycled wool sweaters into a re-useable coffee cozy. Materials provided
