Phoenix

Calling all Flock Members…

The next Church of Craft meeting is Tuesday November 18th @ 7ish. Modified Arts is graciously offering their space again, so please join us for community and peaceful crafting.

We are always looking for knowledge sharing at our meetings.. if you have a crafty skill that you would like to share with the congregation or if there is a skill you would like to learn please let me know and I will make the arrangements.

If you are a flock member and you have a website, blog or other crafty outlet (whether it is yours or just something you think is worth sharing) and you would like me to list it on the Phoenix site.. please forward the URL and any important info to me @ rev.m@churchofcraft.org and I will post it!!!

Please mark you calendars… the December meeting will be held on the 8th, same time same place.

Thank you to all for your support!! Please feel free to bring a friend. Helping to spread the word is greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you on the 18th.

Handmade Nation

The indie craft movement is coming to a big screen near you with Faythe Levine’s new documentary and book, Handmade Nation!

Faith traveled to 15 cities and interviewed 80 crafters to gather material for the project. The movie includes an interview with Callie about the roots of the Church of Craft, and the book contains an essay along the same lines.

You can check the Handmade Nation website to find screenings of the movie in your area, and get some background by checking out Faythe’s blog.
