Hello Lovely Crafters and Craftettes,
Please join us for July Church of Craft — regulars and newcomers alike!! Heads up Sunday School has an optional bring your own simple design – check it out before Sunday class if you want !
** New idea** Due to the success of last month’s crafty swap – we’d like to continue doing that *every month* – not as a class, but just as part of our get together. So every month I’ll remind ya! We’ll do it at 1pm (and onward). So bring anything you’d like to swap, the more related to crafting/art/fashion/DIY, the better.
SUNDAY SCHOOL, 12-1pm = Freezer Paper Stencil on Fabric
Come learn how to make a simple freezer paper stencil with Laura! It’s like silk screening but cheaper, easier and less messy. Bring a t-shirt or some fabric to stencil, a black and white print out of your simple design and an exacto knife if you have one. Check out flickr for some design inspirations: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=freezer%20paper%20stencil&w=all
(The teacher will provide a few colors of fabric paint, iron, freezer paper, some extra designs, some exacto knives, cutting surface, tape…)
CRAFT-ON, 12-5 pm: Bring your new or continuing craft projects to work on with your fellow crafters. As always, you can craft during the swap, come and go open house style, and potluck snacks are optional.
DATE/TIME: Sunday, June 19th(always the 3rd Sunday) from 12-5 pm
LOCATION: We meet near downtown Oakland, a few blocks from the 19th St. BART.
